Aleppo Humanitarian Crisis
West Chester, OH, December 14, 2016: This Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati (ICGC) is deeply troubled by the humanitarian crisis in Aleppo, Syria. As the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has warned, there are “reports of atrocities against a large number of civilians including women and children” in this besieged city.
We urge the community, its leaders, regionally and nationally, to take a stance against torture and utilize diplomatic and humanitarian action to protect this loss of human life.
We stand in solidarity with the oppressed in Aleppo, and beyond, globally, wherever human rights are violated.
We sincerely pray for peace for all.
