ICGC provides learning opportunities for all ages and at every touchpoint with the center. In addition, to those showcased below, there are elements of learning in Youth and Outreach. Subscribe to our YouTube channel for Jumaah khutbahs, and other learning live and past sessions.

On the campus, there is a full time Islamic School (run separately from ICGC). El-Sewedy International Academy of Cincinnati is a charter school from KG-Grade 8

QURAN/HIFZ PROGRAM

ICGC has a thriving Quran/Hifz program that supplements Quran Connections. After students become proficient in the reading via Quran Connections, the Quran/Hifz program takes students to the next level in reading with Tajweed as well as memorization. The Hizf program is led by Shaykh Mahmoud Khalil.

QURAN CONNECTIONS 2024

This is a great opportunity for you or your kids to learn how to read the Quran.‎ The program is designed for all levels even children who are not familiar with the Arabic ‎alphabet. Quran Connection will teach your kids the alphabet up till reading the Quran ‎fluently.‎

ISLAMIC WEEKEND SCHOOL (IWS)

The mission of ICGC Islamic Weekend School is to provide a healthy loving environment to build a strong Islamic foundation in the lives of our students through the study of the Arabic language, a comprehensive sound Islamic and Quranic education, and mutual respect and support for one another. Our vision is to ignite the love and intrinsic motivation within our students to learn the basics of their religion and promote generations of well-rounded Muslim Americans.

A unique immersive series of sessions with renowned scholars (include Qalam and Mishkah). Objective of Learning Center is to build the foundation of faith for Muslim Americans who can be influential in every professional field. This uplifts you spiritually and also develops critical understanding of Islam.

Weekly Khatirahs

Join Imam Musa every Wednesday where he covers lessons from Riyad-ul-Sahileen, guidance from the Quran and Sunnah. In addition, to the weekly Khatirahs there are daily and weekend Khatirahs during Ramadan.

Imam Sessions

Join Imam Musa different learning sessions including Seerah, Haj/Umrah workshops, Reflections on Quran, Q&A with the Imam. Check the events page or newsletter for upcoming sessions.

Candid Conversations

The objective of candid conversations is to have a space for open and honest conversations with the community on a wide range of topics like racism, suicide preventions and other areas that impact our lives.

Know Your Neighbor is a chance to visit the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati to meet your Muslim American neighbors, show support and learn about Islam.

Our Tours & Talks program has received many accolades, letters of appreciation, and referrals. The ICGC continues to grow and customize the program for various touring groups and their particular needs.

NEW TO ISLAM

There is a weekly New Muslim class where those that are new to the faith or want to learn about the faith meet, learn and discuss. This helps with education of key principles and rituals. It also connect those that are new to Islam.

Shaykh Mahmoud Khalil

Allah SWT blessed Shaykh Mahmoud with completion of the memorization of the Holy Quran at the young age of 14. Shaykh Mahmoud graduated from the Grand Al-Azhar University College of education. He began teaching the Holy Quran since 2007 and participated in several Holy Quran competitions and earned first place in many of them!

He is a world-class reciter and hafiz who has received his certification from Shaykh Mohamed Jibreel, one of the highest-ranked reciters in the world. He has traveled and led tarawih prayers in Argentina, Brazil, Spain, and here in the United States.

Shaykh Mahmoud has one of the most beautiful voices in recitation of the Holy Quran, saying beautiful nasheeds, and has a passion and dream to teach the Holy Word of Allah SWT for future generations to come here at ICGC, in sha’a allah!

Shaykh Mahmoud lives here in Cincinnati with his wife, Maaly Elgindy, and three kids, Mariam, Youssef, Sarah.

How Does The Program Work?

This program will be a series of sessions each lasting 6 weeks. The cost for each session (for 6 weeks) is $75 total for the 1st child $50.00 for each subsequent child, (sponsorship is available). Students will be tested for their level of proficiency. Based on their proficiency they will be placed in 1 of the 12 steps. Each step is uniquely programmed to make it easy for students. Each session might include stories from the Quran and Sunnah.

Highlights of the program:

 
    • For all ages and proficiency levels.
    • 15 step program that places you at your level of proficiency.
    • At the end of the 12 steps, you will  start reading the Quran.
    • Last 4 levels to  master reading the Quran.
    • This can lead to the path for Hifz for those who are interested

New In Person & Online Session for the year (2023-2024)

We changed the registration to be a Full Year Registration instead of the old 6 weeks registration.
-There are 3 options for payment, Full year tuition of $350 or 2 installments of $175 or 7 installments of $50 per student for the full year.
– Please enter your children’s current Quran level when registering or New Student if it is their first time with us.
– Class Mode is either “Online” or “In person” and they are not interchangeable once classes start.
 
Quran Classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 – 6:30 PM for In- Person mode and from 5:15 – 6:15 PM the Online mode.
In case you miss a class, you may request a make up class on Fridays via email by Thursday.

TOURS & SPEAKER REQUEST

Our Tours & Talks program has received many accolades, letters of appreciation, and referrals. The ICGC continues to grow and customize the program for various touring groups and their particular needs. See below for information on reserving a tour or talk.

TOURS

Guided tours are available for groups of 15 to 200 people; they are conducted Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tours must be scheduled in advance. There is a $2.00 per person cost associated with the tours.

The ICGC also provides Open House tours one Saturday of each month called “Know Your Neighbor.” Tours generally last one hour and thirty minutes and include a walk through the Mosque and Educational Building.

When visiting the Center, we ask that women wear slacks or long skirts and long-sleeved shirts, and bring a scarf to cover their heads when entering the main Mosque. We also request men wear slacks and sleeved shirts.

SPEAKER REQUESTS

We have a very active speaker program. ICGC receives many requests for talks from schools, universities, places of worship, law-enforcement centers, media groups, and nonprofit organizations. There is a $50 to $500 cost associated with educational lectures, professional workshops and diversity programs that is based on your organization type and number of attendees. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available for academic or nonprofit institutions.

FUNERAL Arrangements

Cost Structure

Funeral Home will arrange with Crown Hill Cemetery for burial Total Cost: $5,570.00/-  

Includes: Burial Package, Opening and Closing of Grave, Cost of Burial Space and suggested Donation of $250.00  to ICGC to cover other expenses (including Coffin, Washcloth, etc)The total cost for burial services are subject to change from time to time and the amount must be paid to the Funeral Home at  the time of the service. This total does not include additional overtime charges as follows

  • Saturday Burials: Between 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Additional cost of $100.00/
  • Saturday Burials: Between 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM – $300 per burial
  • Sundays Burials: Not an Option.

Note: It is the responsibility of the family to wash the body for burial preparation. The funeral home will be able to assist in this process. Imam Musa (513-724-4626) will also be helpful.
